We made two trips to Uganda (2019 and 2023) to visit ministries, make connections, and grow closer to Christ. Along the way, we knew that we had to find a way to do something for the people of Uganda. The challenge was to find a way to raise the funds. It was then that we learned about the excellent coffee grown by Ugandan farmers!

We toured Watoto and learned about their work with orphans and single mothers in the community. We couldn't help falling in love with all the babies in the nursery. Their family structure and schooling impressed really impressed us. It was also heart breaking to see how single mothers live in Uganda.

Our second trip allowed us to meet the people at a children's cancer ministry. Rather than allowing them to sleep on the streets during treatment, this ministry has homes where the children, and their families, can stay as they receive treatment.

We also met a husband and wife who work with special needs children. It was amazing how organized, well planned, and visionary they were.

Meanwhile, there remains under served segments of Ugandan life. The country is rather young on average with many people lacking the training or education to provide for a better life. Many opportunities exist where training, water, health care, or a helping hand could change lives.

This is where Pneuma Java comes into the picture. We searched and searched for ways that we could help. In our opinion, there had to be a way to help single mothers, farmers, and communities. Our vision is for ministry centers where we can train people in new skills, encourage farmers with new methods, provide wells for clean water in communities, or bring quality healthcare to rural locations.

To enable our passion, we have partnered with coffee cooperatives and suppliers that equal our drive to share premium quality coffee beans. They support small scale holder farmers and actively promote women in coffee. Our coffees are sustainably sourced from over 35 farming groups where more than 26,000 tons of coffee are processed each year. The best part of our coffees is the full, smooth flavors with very little for an aftertaste. Each of our coffees have distinct flavor which we think you will find unique.
