At Pneuma Java, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of high-quality coffee products. Each coffee is meticulously sourced from the best coffee-growing regions in Uganda, providing a unique and unforgettable flavor profile. Explore our selection and discover your new favorite brew. Uganda is the fifth largest producer of Robusta coffee, and is gaining in Arabica. Currently, Arabica is about 20% of the annual production. It's the Robusta coffee where Uganda is renowned.
Uganda is one of the leading producers of Robusta coffee, with its beans highly regarded for their quality. Ugandan Robusta coffee is grown in fertile volcanic soils at altitudes ranging from 900 to 1,500 meters above sea level. The climate is ideal for coffee cultivation, with a combination of ample rainfall, sunshine, and rich soils. The typical day in Uganda remains fairly consistent in the mid to upper 80s with an overnight low in the mid 60s. The rainfall amount each year covers half the required rain to grow consistent crops, and that contributes to Ugandan coffee excellence.
Coffee farming is a significant source of income in Uganda, and we enjoy helping the farmers bring their coffee to you. Our sourcing group in Uganda works with local farms on sustainable techniques to provide long term viability of coffee production while preserving the beautiful Ugandan countryside.
