Engeya
From the majestic Rwenzori Mountains of western Uganda, known locally as the “Mountains of the Moon,” comes Engeya, a single-origin coffee that embodies the strength and generosity of its namesake, meaning strength or power in Luganda. Grown on steep, mist-covered slopes at high altitude, these beans develop a full, rich flavor with natural sweetness and balanced depth. The result is a cup that’s smooth, comforting, and quietly powerful - crafted for those who savor substance and soul in every sip.
Natural flavor profile: Brown sugar, raisin, milk chocolate
Our Roaster’s Note: Our bags of this coffee contain no additional flavors. No artificial extracts are recommended; we suggest letting the Rwenzori bean’s natural sweetness and cocoa depth unfold slowly in the cup. This coffee’s balance of body and brightness makes it equally suited for espresso, pour-over, or French press.
Optional enhancements (if desired for retail drinks):
-
- A drizzle of caramel or molasses enriches its brown sugar notes.
- A touch of cinnamon or nutmeg provides gentle warmth for a cozy finish.
