Mount Elgon
From Uganda’s eastern highlands, where ancient volcanic soil meets cool mountain air, Mount Elgon embodies the spirit of elevation both in altitude and in craftsmanship. This single-origin Arabica offers a remarkably smooth cup, balancing rich caramel sweetness with subtle fruit brightness and a gentle cocoa finish. Each sip reflects the purity of its highland terroir and the devotion of the farmers who handpick each cherry from the misty slopes.
Natural flavor profile: Caramel, plum, cocoa
Our Roaster’s Note:
Mount Elgon requires no enhancement because its natural harmony is the product of precise washing and sun-drying techniques perfected over generations. Brew as a pour-over or in a French press to emphasize its sweetness and balance, or as espresso for a deeper, more velvety texture.
Optional enhancements (if desired for retail drinks):
-
-
A drizzle of caramel or honey syrup to accentuate its smooth, golden notes.
-
A light sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder for a comforting finish.
-
Refer to the Mount Elgon Brewing Guide for detailed recommendations on grind size, water ratio, and brew time to capture this coffee’s mountain-born richness.
